Your files never leave your device

All image conversion on Rebytify happens entirely within your browser. When you drop files into the converter, they are read by JavaScript running locally on your machine. No file data, image content, or conversion output is ever transmitted to any server - there is no upload step.

Converted images are held temporarily in browser memory and discarded when you close the page or remove the file from the list. Nothing is written to permanent storage.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to collect anonymous traffic data - specifically: page views, session duration, browser type, operating system, and general geographic region (country level). This data helps us understand how people use Rebytify and prioritise improvements.

Google Analytics does not receive any information about the files you convert, the images you upload, or any personally identifiable information. Analytics tracking is fired only after you have provided cookie consent (see below).

Cookie consent (GDPR)

Rebytify uses Cookiebot to manage cookie consent in compliance with GDPR and the ePrivacy Directive. Google Analytics is blocked from loading until you have explicitly consented to analytics cookies. You can withdraw consent at any time via the cookie settings link in the footer.

If you decline analytics cookies, no tracking scripts are loaded and no data is sent to Google.

Local storage

The only data stored in your browser's localStorage is your theme preference (light or dark mode). This is a single string value ("light" or "dark") and contains no personal information. It is never transmitted anywhere.

No accounts, no tracking

Rebytify has no user accounts and collects no personally identifiable information. We do not use session cookies for authentication, advertising trackers, or any third-party scripts beyond Google Analytics (consent-gated) and Cookiebot.
